Evgeny Vladimirovich Gorovoy is the chief physician of the Russian national equestrian teams. In addition, Evgeny Vladimirovich is a member of the Bureau of the Russian Equestrian Sports Federation, the official delegate of the FEI from the Russian Federation, from 2006 to 2020 he was the chairman of the FKSR Veterinary Committee.
Before becoming a professional veterinarian, Evgeny Vladimirovich was engaged in show jumping and had the title of “Candidate Master of Sports”.
Evgeny Vladimirovich graduated from the Moscow Veterinary Academy. K.I.Scriabin in 1981. Specialization - sports veterinary medicine, orthopedics and radiology. He also served in the CSKA equestrian division as a veterinarian, where he worked as a veterinarian for several years. As a member of the CSKA team in show jumping, dressage, eventing, he accompanied the horses of the teams on trips around the country and abroad.
Since 1991 at the same time he worked as a veterinarian in a joint Soviet-Italian venture, he selected and accompanied sports horses abroad, took part in the organization of equestrian tournaments.
From 1994 to 2005 he worked as a national team veterinarian of the Republic of Ecuador (South America) team.
As a veterinarian of the Ecuadorian national team, Evgeny worked with horses on many tournaments in South America and the USA.
He has given seminars, lectures and master classes in Ecuador.
Evgeny Vladimirovich repeatedly attended equestrian conferences and congresses, clinics held in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, USA, Western Europe and other countries;
In 2006 he returned to Russia and was invited to the FKSR as a chief veterinarian of the Russian national equestrian teams.
As a veterinarian for the Olympic team, Evgeny Vladimirovich Gorovoy accompanied Russia at 2 Olympic Games (in Hong Kong and Rio de Janeiro), as well as at 3 World Championships and more than 20 European Championships.
At the moment, Evgeny is preparing the horses of the national team for Olympic Games Tokyo 2021.
In addition to the activities of the chief veterinarian of the national teams, Evgeny Vladimirovich has been giving educational seminars for many years in various regions of Russia: from Crimea to Vladivostok.
In Russia, Evgeny became the initiator and organizer of the FEI Anti-Doping Control Program “Clean Sport”.
